Most Town of Vail municipal offices will be closed Friday, July 3 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. However, the police front counter in the Municipal Building will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Friday as well as Saturday, July 4. The office is available for front counter service and is open Monday through Saturday each week; closed Sundays.

Building on a three decades long partnership, the Town of Vail and Children’s Garden of Learning are pleased to confirm substantial progress in moving towards identifying a new location for CGL as the town continues to fulfill various community goals, including increasing the number of resident-occupied, deed-restricted homes in Vail.
Volunteers from the town’s Trail Host program will begin greeting trail users for the summer season starting Friday, June 26. Now in its second year, the program provides helpful information and resources at busy East Vail trailheads to promote trail etiquette and to offer recommendations on a variety of guest services, including less-traveled trails.
Town of Vail buses will transition from the spring schedule to the summer schedule beginning Monday, June 29. Passengers must comply with safety requirements to protect the health of drivers and riders. This includes wearing face coverings, entering and exiting through the rear door and maintaining social distancing.
East Meadow Drive in Vail Village has been added to the outdoor pubic areas designated for the consumption of alcohol. The Town Manager’s Office has authorized this area at the direction of the Town Council and in response to requests from the business community. The expansion is effective immediately. Eagle County has not yet received a decision on its request for a variance that would allow a transition to its Black Diamond Public Health Order in response to COVID-19. While the county awaits this variance, public health officials have identified areas where the county may loosen certain restrictions in its current order. The amendment to the Blue Square Order is effective immediately.

Eagle County Public Health and Environment is updating the county’s Public Health Order regarding COVID-19. In alignment with the county’s Transition Trail Map, the move to the “Black Diamond” Phase is anticipated to take place on June 22.
