Two people are in custody following a violent road rage shooting incident on eastbound Interstate 70 on Tuesday, March 31. At approximately 8:49 a.m., the driver of a blue 2004 BMW 325i contacted the Vail Public Safety Communications Center to report he was actively involved in an ongoing road rage incident with the driver of a 2007 white Mitsubishi Outlander.
Crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services will be again conducting pile burn operations over the next month as conditions permit. These burns will take place near the East Vail water tank, Greenhill Court and Buffehr Creek areas
Work on a bridge project that was in winter shutdown will begin again on Monday, March 30. This Colorado Department of Transportation project consists of repairing and rehabilitating both the eastbound and westbound bridge structures located at approximately milepost 168.7, at the point where I-70 crosses over both the Eagle River and US 6. More specifically, work includes girder repair, bridge deck repair and re-paving and reinforcing current structures.

After nearly 35 incredible years, Pam Brandmeyer is leaving her post at the Town of Vail in exchange for more frequent visits to Lake Powell. In her current role as Assistant Town Manger and the other assignments she’s had since 1980, Pam has become a trusted confidant for so many members of the community and the town staff.

A Design Review Board application was submitted on Monday, March 23 to the Town of Vail Community Development Department by the project team responsible for next steps in the remodel of the Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse. The Town of Vail Department of Public Works is seeking a qualified contractor to provide Tree Pest Services for the 2015 growing season. The Contractor shall be licensed with the Colorado Department of Agriculture as a commercial pesticide applicator, and all personnel applying pesticides through this contract must be licensed by the Colorado Department of Agriculture as a Qualified Supervisor, Certified Operator or Documented Technician.
