Effective Feb. 1, Eagle County’s EC Alert service will change how it delivers non-emergency messages. At approximately 1 a.m. today, crews from Vail Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched to a reported structure fire at the Sandstone 70 condominiums located at 909 Red Sandstone Road in Vail. Upon arrival, crews found a well-established fire in the upper unit of a fourplex. Town of Vail is seeking proposals from waste haulers to develop and implement an innovative residential curbside compost pilot program in Vail, Colorado.
Brief Description of Work
The Vail South Frontage Road Widening & Roundabout Project consists of approximately 1400 linear feet of road widening (2 lanes to 4 lanes), including; curb & gutter, sidewalk, medians, and a 150’ diameter roundabout. Includes utility relocation, installation of storm sewer, landscaping and approximately 7000 SF/Face of retaining walls. The project is scheduled to start mid-April and be complete by end of October 2021.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In general, the work will consist of hot applied crack sealant on 32 miles of existing asphalt streets, curb & gutter, recreation paths and parking lots in the Town of Vail. The areas of work shall be all Town of Vail public streets as spelled out by the five districts and street names, recreation path name and park/trailhead parking lot.
