7/20/2010

The Mill Creek Circle utility and street reconstruction project in Vail will require the diversion of West Mill Creek to East Mill Creek to facilitate the replacement of culverts at Mill Creek Circle. The diversion will take place on July 22 and will include diverting all of Mill Creek to the east branch of Mill Creek at the headwall located near Golden Peak. Any affected fish found in West Mill Creek after the diversion is implemented will be captured and relocated to Gore Creek.

The Mill Creek Circle project is being funded jointly by the Town of Vail, Eagle River Water & Sanitation District and Holy Cross Energy and includes installation of new water and sewer lines, electrical infrastructure upgrades, drainage improvements and an asphalt overlay. Construction will continue to November. The contractor is Ewing Trucking.
