Council to Consider Land Purchase

The Vail Town Council will consider a resolution Tuesday approving the purchase of a privately-held parcel that has been used historically for public parking at Red Sandstone Park, located at 635 N. Frontage Rd. The resolution authorizes a maximum purchase price of $350,000 for the property, which is owned by the Lazier family.

The Town Council has scheduled a site visit to the property during its afternoon work session which begins at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday with consideration of the acquisition at the evening meeting which will include opportunities for public comment.

Red Sandstone is one of nine neighborhood parks in Vail and dates from the mid-1970s.
