The Town of Vail is again inviting residents in need of landscape materials to stop by the West Vail Fire Station construction site on the North Frontage Road Saturday (July 17) for another free giveaway of river rock. The material will be available to residents on a first-come, first-served basis between 8 a.m. and noon.

The free materials were given away last weekend; however, due to the abundance of materials, there is more available for distribution.

Recipients of the landscape material are asked to bring gloves, shovels, wheel barrows and any other self-help equipment needed to remove the items from the construction site.

Construction of the fire station will continue throughout the summer with completion scheduled for January/February 2011.  For more information, contact Fire Chief Mark Miller at 477-3474.
