News Release
Expanded E-Services Available
6/24/2010
The Town of Vail is expanding its e-mail information services to include the distribution of two weekly newsletters. “This Week in Vail” contains a comprehensive daily listing of special events and activities, while “TOV Weekly News” provides information on Vail Town Council meeting agendas and other town announcements. The newsletters are distributed each Monday via Vail-Mail, the town’s free online e-mail subscription service.
To sign up to receive Vail-Mail, go to the town’s e-mail subscription page.
Subscribers can then select from a list of 11 information categories based on areas of interest with additional offerings coming soon from the Vail Public Library:
• Weekly News (includes Town Council Agenda items and other announcements from the Town of Vail)
• This Week in Vail (a day by day preview at the weekly special events occurring in Vail)
• General Town of Vail News Releases and Announcements
• Vail Town Council Meeting Agendas
• Vail Town Council Meeting Highlights
• Breaking News (I-70 closures etc.)
• Construction Updates (weekly progress reports for construction projects impacting Vail Village, LionsHead and outlying Vail neighborhoods)
• Vail-Mail Newsletter (includes upcoming events, bus schedules, activities, plus news and announcements of interest to full and part-time residents)
• Vail Special Events Snapshots (information on each special event as details are finalized.)
• Design Review Board (DRB) (agendas and minutes for DRB meetings)
• Planning and Environmental Commission (agendas and minutes for PEC meetings)
If you’re already a Vail-Mail subscriber, but wish to add or remove a different subscription: Go to the bottom of a previously received e-mail from the town and click on the “Update Profile” link. This will take you to the subscriptions page, where you can add or remove the Vail-Mail subscriptions you wish to receive. Spam filtering by you or your Internet or e-mail service provider may block the delivery of these subscriptions. Please contact your provider if you don’t receive your e-subscriptions. The Town of Vail does not sell or distribute the names of its subscribers to Vail-Mail or other e-services.
The town will be adding additional e-services throughout the year, so subscribers are asked to check back periodically to see what’s new.
